Dear Residents,
Enbridge has been busy updating their utility delivery system. They are now on the last phase of a cast iron replacement project of 1700 km (Pipes had been breaking at a rate of 4/km per year). They still have 50 km of replacements to do and all of this will be in Ward 21 in the area north of Eglinton Ave, south of Briar Hill Ave, west of Bathurst St., east of Old Park Rd. Those residents and businesses affected by this project will get a letter delivered to their house 2-3 weeks in advance of work beginning. Construction should take place from March-May.
Link-Line is the construction company who will be installing the gas mains and service lines to houses and business. Lakeside will be removing gas meters (residential) and regulators (business). They will also re-light any appliances and work with homeowners on the placement of the meter outside homes.
