Wychwood Open Door has been a staple in the neighbourhood since 1986. 2009 saw the organization serve 16,000 meals while offering counseling, housing and skills development programs. The organization has a budget of $150,000 and is growing rapidly.
The Wychwood Open Door Board of Directors is seeking one Treasurer and up to four new Members. The Board oversees the operation of the organization, sets and monitors the annual budget, and develops and implements the organization's strategic direction.
Seeing that the community is diverse, the Board of Directors is encouraging applicants which reflect that diversity to encompass the large of Aboriginal, Central American, South American, African and Caribbean ancestry in our neighbourhood.

Treasurer
The Treasurer is responsible for leading the budgeting process, monitoring finances on a month-to-month basis and assisting staff with financial administration. The Treasurer's role requires approximately 5 hours per week, almost all of which can be completed from a location of the Treasurer's choice. The successful applicant will have experience in accounting or has managed a budget of at least $100,000.
Board Members
The Wychwood Open Door Board of Directors is a working board and will require a time commitment of approximately 5-7 hours per month from its Members. Desired skill sets for Board Members include one or more of: financial management, accounting, fundraising, legal, advocacy, community development, social work and governance.
