New Streetcars set to ride the (light) rails At a special meeting of Council on Friday, June 26, 2009, funding was approved for the purchase of 204 new modern low floor LRVs (streetcars) to be built by Bombardier at its Thunder Bay plant and to begin rolling on Toronto's (light) rails in 2011.
